Irish Nationalism commonly refers to a republican, socialist and trade-unionist led movement against British colonial domination. In this case, it makes an unusual bridge to horseshoe neo-feudalism. There are a few characters of this variety that have cropped up on YouTube to offer a critique of capitalism from the traditionalist right. For me, the most interesting aspect here is a recurrent theme of a two tiered society regarding class and access to technology. Feudal peasants till the land alongside hi-tech geothermal and nuclear powerplants in an authoritarian and dystopian future.

I’m an Irish nationalist
Who are your biggest influences?
[James] Connolly. I also take inspiration from the myths and legends of Ireland, and from writings about ancient Irish culture and politics.
When did you first learn about or start visiting online political communities?
I started a political account a little under two years ago because I found memes about communism really funny.
What was your ideology before entering these spaces?
Or how have your views evolved since you started participating?
I didn't really have a political ideology before this. However about a month before it i remember perusing anti refugee threads cause the various terror attacks were recent enough things. I was just a normal Marxist on here for a while but then my views changed.
What changes do you think we are likely to see in the next 10 years?
An increase in automation, immigration and overall violence.
What changes do you think we are likely to see in the next 40 years?
An ecological crisis. Widespread terrorism and civil wars. More and more immigration.
What changes do you want to see in the next 10 years?
A collapse of liberal democracies.
What changes do you want to see in the next 40 years?
Proper combat of climate change. Revolutions or coups across the globe. The collapse of America and the EU.
What tools, technologies or tactics are most important to achieve this?
Guerrilla warfare. Terrorism. Violence in general. As in tools, weapons, rifles, baseball bats. Anything really.
What are the most common jobs in this future society?
Probably farming, various forms of food processing.
Where do most people live?
Rural
What modes of transportation do people use?
Normal people use horse and cart, old style (but electric) cars, preferably very few, bicycles, trains
How are goods and food produced?
If they’re simple, at the home. If they’re complicated, in local collectively owned mills or workshops, and if they’re specialist, in mostly automated factories. A sweater could be made in any of them depending on type and style.
How do these goods and food reach consumers?
Delivery by cart or train. Most communities would be at least somewhat self sufficient.
How much leisure time do people have?
As much as possible. Most heavy labour jobs like manufacturing would be automated. Most jobs would be done by large numbers of people. Like farms could use heavy machinery, or lots of people. I would hope work hours are like 10 to 4 or something like that per person.
What kind of energy does this society use?
Geothermal, maybe solar but only on roofs. Maybe nuclear is the need be.
Where is this society located?
Ireland
Who are *you* in this society?
Any job tbh. I’d prefer something in the military.
What items do you have in your future home?
Books, chairs, a couch, a table, a TV, a radio. Food storage.
Where are most people in this society from?
Ireland
Does this society run up against any natural limits?
No. It is climate friendly and only claims the island
What are the biggest religious or spiritual organizations, if any?
[no response]
