Welcome, new readers. If you haven’t already seen, I had a profile published in The New York Times on Sunday.
Back in the real world, it’s been an historic week in NYC. Zohran Mamdani has officially won the mayoral election. To help us reflect on this pivotal moment, I reached out to none other than Felix Biederman, a beloved poster and a co-host of Chapo Trap House.
For nearly a decade, Felix has served as one of the most insightful and hilarious voices in online political commentary. We hit the ground running and tackle today’s biggest topic — once and for all clearing the good name of young men. In 2025, men between the ages of 18-29 voted overwhelmingly (with a +40% margin) in favor of Zohran. It’s certainly given the media a lot to think about. Maybe the real Joe Rogan is the friends we made along the way.
I’ll keep this post on the shorter side — we’re trying to turn around episodes much more quickly as we pick up the publishing pace for year two of Doomscroll. If you enjoy this conversation, we venture much further down the rabbit hole on this week’s bonus episode:
Felix and I discuss the legacy of the Gravel Institute, the “Felix Biederman to Marc Andreessen pipeline” and the “Bernie to New Right” culture of Dimes Square (RIP). Later, we explore Felix’s background in internet culture and online politics. I laugh so hard I spit.
